Recipes
Your kit allows you to make flavoured rums using single ingredients: vanilla, cinnamon, orange, coconut, mango, etc. or more adventurous combinations! Here are a few ideas:
Good Ol’ Spiced Rum
1/2 of the cinnamon stick
3 star anise
1 tbsp orange peels
2 cloves
1/2 tbsp fresh ginger
Let yourself be overwhelmed by the woody aromas of this simplified version of an old rum that will transport you to Reunion Island. You can go further by adding a few orange peels and a vanilla stick.
Maceration: 2 to 3 months minimum, even more if you have the patience!

Tutti Frutti
2 tbsp dried strawberries
1 tbsp dried cranberries
1 tbsp dried blueberries
2 tbsp dried currants
2 tbsp dried sultana currants
This dried fruit blend will either taste like red fruits or like a fortified white wine, depending on the dosage of dried fruit you choose.
Maceration: 2 months minimum

Citrus
2 tbsp dried orange peels
2 tbsp dried lemon peels
Halfway between bitter and acid, the right mix will give you a fresh and fruity rum, bringing back memories of margarita and orange punch. Not to be confused with your morning fruit juices!
Maceration: 2 weeks, then filter and remove the peels to avoid the taste becoming too bitter.
Autumnal flavours
1/2 of the cinnamon stick
3 or 4 apple rings
Return to autumn with the aromas and scents of an apple pie coming out of the oven, while by the fire you watch the leaves fall from the trees.
Maceration: 2 to 3 months (you may want to remove the cinnamon stick after 2 or 3 weeks, and let the apple macerate for much longer).

Bissap
2 tbsp of red hibiscus flower (or bissap, sorrel, jamaica, zobo, ...)
With its slightly acidic red fruit aromas, this flower has many health benefits. More important, Bissap rum is ready very quickly, and will allow you to test your skills before tackling some more elaborate recipes. And we like that!
Maceration: 2 days

“Mulled Wine”
1/2 cinnamon stick
3 star anise
2 tbsp orange peels
1 clove
For once, instead of adding rum to your mulled wine, make a rum in which the spices of the mulled wine will have macerated. To be enjoyed hot or cold, according to your preferences.
Maceration: 1 month minimum
